第2章：英文版 (5-1)

SunYi was sleeping on the sofa when the old radio on the shelf let out a sharp notification tone, startling him awake. “Breaking news: According to reports from around the world, 5.1 billion people have suddenly disappeared. The situation is currently under investigation.”

This news caused SunYi's calm heart to tremble again, as a stone hit into a river.

With so many people gone, the world quickly fell into chaos. Riots broke out everywhere. Just outside his home, people were looting a nearby supermarket. SunYi looked at the scene through the window, and any thought of going out to find his parents vanished.

Fortunately, he had locked every door and window in his house which included the garden in the backyard. A few moments later, he thought it was not safe enough, so he closed all the curtains and put all the supplies in the bedroom on the second floor.

SunYi decided to stay at home and not run around. He couldn't protect himself yet, so he would wait until the situation outside stabilized before going out.

That night, fear and unease kept SunYi awake in bed. Every sound outside made his heart race, and he couldn’t stop imagining the worst.

The next evening, the sound of gunshots shattered the silence in his neighborhood.
