After several hours pass, Kiyoshi decides to try calling Ryouta again. He' s not sure if it's safe, but there isn't any point in leaving the tree for anything other than exercise. Besides, the tree isn't far away, and he can reach it quickly if it becomes necessary.

"Hello?" Kiyoshi's heart pounds in his chest when he hears the familiar voice.

"Hey, Kise. How are you?"

"All right. Are you okay? Is everything alright?"

"Everything's fine, but are you still at your friend's house? I haven't heard from you today."

"Oh… Yes, we came back early today, so you probably didn't even hear us."

"So your father picked you up? What did you do there? Where are you staying?"

"That's actually what I came to talk to you about. Father and I had a fight yesterday and I decided not to live with him anymore. So I went home."

"Why didn't you stay with your mother?"

"She wouldn't have wanted me to. She said she couldn't live with someone whose parents hate each other."

"And you believe her?"

"No! But that's not the point! Anyway, I'm at home, waiting for him to come home. Can you come over? I'd like to show you something. It's important."

"I guess I could do that," Kiyoshi sighs. "Just make sure your father doesn't hurt me, okay?"

"Don't worry, I won't let anything happen to you. See you soon, Kiyoshi."
