where it begins 与where it ends是where引导的名词性从句。where既作引导词，又在名词性从句中作状语。

（1）当insist后接that从句表示“坚持要做……”时，要用虚拟语气（即谓语动词结构为should+动词原型，should可以省略）

（2）当insist后接that从句表示“坚持认为，坚持说”时，则从句不采用虚拟语气，而是要用陈述语气。

（3）insist on/upon doing sth.坚持做某事
